The Chartwell Center

Strategic Communication Plan

To earn my Certificate of Strategic Communication from the Manship School at LSU, our class partnered with local businesses and non-profits to create and implement a cohesive, multi-month strategic communication plan.

I partnered with The Chartwell Center, a non-profit school in New Orleans that serves the autism community from ages three through 21. Their goals include teaching their students how to not only survive, but thrive in their day to day lives. I became involved with The Chartwell Center through the program's Executive Director, Folwell, and loved every second of working with them.

Because this course was during my 2020 Spring Semester, COVID and school closures were a huge hurdle. I had to re-evaluate my goals and adapt my project to be more evergreen and implementable during and post-pandemic restrictions.

The strategic communication plan I created for the Chartwell Center outlined:

  • edits and optimization opportunities for their web presence

  • program ideas

  • templates and blueprints for social media posts

  • ideas and implementation advice for a craft booth, social media best practices

  • additional best practices, tips, and ideas for web content and growth
